Ricky Sharrow

Ricky James Sharrow passed away peacefully on June 22nd, 2025 at Chatham-Kent Hospice with family by his side, after a sudden and brief battle with Cancer. Ricky is survived by his best friend, soulmate and wife Connie of 43 years. He will be missed and not forgotten by his Children, Lisa (Mike), Crystal (Shawn) and Kevin (Amanda). Loving papa of Samantha (Dyllan), Tara (Zack) Lucas and Connor. Step-Grandfather to Madison (Mike) and Paige. He will also be missed by his furry companions Taco and Chico. He is also survived by his brothers, Wayne (Joan), Todd (Nancy), Scott (Cheryl) and Johnny, and his sisters Karen (Don) and Kim (Richard), his mother-in-Law Virgina Foulon, Sisters in Law, Ann Marie (Mark), Catherine (Ron), Jeanine and many nieces and nephews. Ricky is pre-deceased by his Parents, Lillian (1997) and Harvey (1999), his father-in-Law Jules (2016) and brother-in-law David (2025) Ricky worked at Libby Canada for 30 years until it closed in 1999, and continued to work for Paladin Security (Formerly Lyndon) for 16 years until his retirement this year. He enjoyed bowling in local leagues at the old Starlite Lanes, and golfing with his co-workers on the Libby Canada golf league, as well as getting a few holes with his son Kevin. He was a long-time member of the Wallaceburg Navy League, fundraising with bingo’s, car washes and helping out with the Wallaceburg Sea Cadets, which all his kids were cadets of. He had a long-time passion of collecting die cast cars, building model ships, baseball and hockey cards. There was never a yard sale or flea market he didn’t pass by. In the summertime he looked forward to Daddy-Daughter Day with his girls Lisa and Crystal at a Detroit tigers’ game, and in the winter a Detroit Red Wings game with his son Kevin. The family would like to invite his extended family, friends, co-workers, neighbours, and anyone who knew him to come Celebrate His life with food and friendship at the Cavanagh Reception Centre (416 Nelson St. Wallaceburg, across from Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home) on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 1-4pm. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Chatham-Kent Hospice for all their care and support. Donations may be left at the funeral home for Chatham-Kent Hospice, or the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.
