Dan Watson

Daniel Warren Watson died at home in Tulare, California on or about January 14, 2026, at the age of 65. Born in Chatham- Kent, Ontario in April of 1960, Dan started grade 1 at the age of 5 skipping Kindergarten at the Baldoon School, a small one room schoolhouse. He later went to DA Gordon Public School, WT Laing (middle) School and Wallaceburg District Secondary School (WDSS), graduating from both Grade 12 and Grade 13. At WDSS he enjoyed playing football. He furthered his education attending Lambton College from 1989 - 1991; later obtaining a Bachelor in Human Resource Management from Spring Arbor College in Michigan, he then attended Ambassador University in Texas and obtained a Masters in Social Work (MSW, Israel Credit) from Fordham University in New York City. Dan worked as a counsellor on Long Island, NY for most of his career, later moving to Tulare, California in 2018 to be closer to his daughter, Jenni while enjoying the California sunshine and continuing his career. Dan enjoyed travelling. He especially enjoyed his recent trips to Europe with his daughter Jenni and his trips home to Canada. Dan is the proud father of Jennifer Watson of West Hollywood, California. A devoted father he took great pride in Jenni and all her accomplishments. He is predeceased by his father James Watson (2001), his mother Margaret Watson (2018), a sister-in-law Bonnie Watson (2003), sister Cheryl Limoges (2021) and a nephew David Limoges (2017). Dan’s surviving family includes: his beloved daughter Jennifer Watson, aunt and uncle Betty and Steve Horuci, brothers and sisters: Mark Watson, Paul (Patricia) Watson, David (Alison) Watson, Tarry (George) Aitcheson, Robert (Kellie) Watson and Lori (Peter) Spencer; and brother-in-law: Marcel Limoges. 16 nieces and nephews along with their partners; and 27 great nieces and great nephews; and 9 great-great nieces and great-great nephews. A celebration of Dan’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Dan’s daughter, Jenni would ask that you share a memory here on his memorial wall so that she may learn more about his early life in Canada.
