Lee-Airrah Joycelyn Zaagidwin Riley, Mukwa doodem gave her breath back to our creator on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the age of 15 at Victoria Hospital, London, On. Le-Airrah is the beloved daughter of Mitchell Wade Sheegnobike George and Patrice Blackbird-Riley. Loving sister of Derrick, Keelan, Leedra and Nakeitah, Aquila, Autumn. She is loved by all her families from the two communities of Walpole Island & Kettle & Stony Point. Granddaughter on her mothers side of the late Kenneth and Joyce Riley and the Niso Wahsaa gayd (Norma Shawnoo-George) First Degree Midwewiwin on her fathers side. She will be deeply missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lee-Airrah was an excellent student at Alexander Mackenzie Secondary School in Sarnia who excelled in art class. Lee-Airrah held interests in Hair dress, fashion and design. Lee-Airrah comes from families and communities whom derive from the N’swi-ish-ko-day-kawn Anishnabeg O’dish-ko-day-kawn (Three Fires Confederacy), Third Stopping Place of our Migration. Her families come from the lineages of Tecumseh and his Allies. Both Women and Men up-hold his Vision for this time that we are in, and for our future generations. Visitation will be held at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on throughout the day of Tuesday, February 15, 2022. A wake will begin at 7pm. Covid & Traditional protocols will be in place. A celebration of Lee-Airrah's life will begin at the Sports Complex on Wednesday, February 16 at 11 AM. Burial in Highbanks Cemetery to follow.
