A resident of Walpole Island, Passed away suddenly with his family by his side at the Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus, on Friday, August 19, 2016 at the age of 74. Howard is the son of the late Edward and Mable Shipman. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Williams). Loved father of Dana Soney (Clifford), Danny Williams (Trudy), Howard Shipman (Georgina), Trevor Shipman (Dawn), the late Roderick Shipman (surviving spouse Dawn), Walden Shipman (Robyn), Heather Johnson (Kennon), Shonna Williams, Amanda Kiyoshk, Lorna Kiyoshk and Shawn Kiyoshk. Cherished by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of Edward Shipman Jr., Cecil Shipman, Adam Shipman and the late Wellington, Alex, Stanford, Hilda, Mary, Rita and Stella. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Sunday from 7-9 PM. The funeral will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Walpole Island on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 2 PM. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery, Walpole Island.
