Judy Kerkhof

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Judy, with her family by her side and on God’s terms, passed away peacefully on March 12th, 2026. Judy was a loving mother to Katelyn Campbell (Adam) and Deanna Kerkhof. She was a proud and devoted Grandmother to her cherished grandchildren, Alan and Nora Campbell. Judy will be deeply missed by her siblings, Connie (Ron Brand), Dianne (the late Jim Brown), and Wayne (Delynne Latimer). She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, with whom she shared many memorable adventures and quality time. Judy had a deep love for flowers and was a passionate gardener, renowned for her exceptional talent. Her artistry and dedication brought beauty to everything she touched. The elegant and breathtaking themes she crafted each year will forever be treasured, a lasting reflection of her creativity and grace. She will always be remembered with love and admiration. Judy graduated from nursing in 1975 and her nursing career spanned over 30 years with Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, where she worked in various areas of expertise before she retired in 2014. She was recognized for her dedication and commitment to making Chatham-Kent a healthier community. Over the years, Judy cultivated numerous close friendships, which she cherished throughout her life. When Judy’s cancer returned in 2022, these dear friends, along with her family and neighbors, rallied around her, forming a supportive group lovingly known as “Judy Duty.” This team brought countless laughs, shared meals, provided transportation to appointments, and offered unwavering support. In lieu of flowers, Judy wished for donations to be made to a trust fund: Alan and Nora Campbell’s Cystinosis Fund. Judy was always amazed by their strength, courage, and resilience as they embraced life one moment at a time while living with Cystinosis. Alan and Nora were her light. Cheques may be made payable to Katelyn Campbell and left with Cavanagh Funeral Home. On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, Judy’s close family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) from 4-7pm.
