Carol Fox

It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Anne Fox announces her passing after a brief illness, on Friday, January 1st, 2021, at the age of 77 years. Carol was born and raised in Wallaceburg and spent her entire life there bringing much love, joy and friendship to all that knew her. Carol was a fun-loving “foxy lady” who could dance the night away in her stilettos to the very end. She always put her family first and was available any time day or night when you needed her. She was the kind of Mother and Grandmother that was also our best friend, she was simply amazing. Carol was full of spunk and always made us chuckle with her “lack of a filter” even in her final hours. She loved to have fun but also loved her quiet time watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy every evening. Her family cherished her and spent countless hours with her “just because”. A day would not go by without one of her children or grandchildren visiting with her. Carol will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her partner John who she met at the weekly dances. They were the perfect dancing couple with smooth moves and dips making it so much fun to watch them. She will forever be cherished and adored by her children, Jody Bogaert-Harrison (late Kevin), Tim Mallett (late Gary), and Chrissy Mahu (Chris). Carol will also be lovingly remembered by her 5 grandchildren, Taunya (Geoff), Tasha (Mike), Krista, Trevor and Abby and by her 8 great grandchildren Jordan, Angel (Eli), Mariah, Hailey, Mia, Melody, Westin and Gracelyn and by her siblings, Glen Fox (late Gail), Marylou Snary (Don), Lori Sterling (Jim). She was predeceased by her parents Jim and Audrey Fox and her brothers Charles Fox (Shirley) and Bill Fox. She will also be greatly missed by her grand-dog Billy who never left her side and her nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-5 PM on Monday, January 4. The family are unable to be present for the visiting, but will be greeting visitors who attend the funeral home via Zoom Meeting. A celebration of life and burial in Riverview Cemetery will take place at a later date.
